Responsibilities Start your day by developing a safe, professional, exciting and comprehensive personal training program for a client whose fitness goals include increasing cardiovascular endurance and reducing total body fat by 3%.Next, utilize your persuasive sales ability by walking the fitness floor and meeting potential clients. Build your business by conversing with members and speaking about the various fitness programs you offer. Allow your enthusiasm to shine while helping others reach their fitness goals as you set up appointments for complimentary fitness consultations. After lunch, teach a seminar to members on the benefits of interval training while discussing current health and fitness issues and trends. Then, monitor and instruct a new client during her first personal training session on the safe and effective use of cardiovascular, flexibility and strength training equipment.Round out your day with a shift at the service desk to ensure that members have a place to go if they have questions about equipment or fitness needs. Responsible for supervision, safety and activities of children in assigned group while ensuring the safety of all children between the ages of 5-12. Will closely supervise a group of school-age children in all scheduled activities in the program; such supervision will consist of visual and auditory awareness as well as a pattern of circulating among the children. Will follow the pick-up and check out procedure. Will follow the discipline policy set in staff training. Will report supplies needing repair or depletion to the Director. Will be completely responsible for the safety and well-being of each child in your group; must quickly move to attend to injured or ill child (be able to transport if necessary) and initiate first aid procedures. Will keep an accurate daily count of the children in your group each day. Will follow the field trip procedure set at staff training. Will attend all scheduled training sessions, staff meeting, and any other meetings deemed necessary by the Child Care Director for. Will assist in set-ups and clean-ups throughout the summer. Will report any illness or injury of a child or staff to the Child Care Director immediately following incident. Will report suspected child abuse to supervisor. Will implement site-evacuation/emergency procedures for fire, chemical spill, tornado, etc. Will function at a the afterschool site providing leadership to up to 15 children. Job Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age (may be 16 or 17 year of age if enrolled in an approved high school career program and under direct supervision of qualified staff). High school graduate. 15 approved and documented training hours to be accumulated during school year. CPR and First Aid Certified. Staff with no experience in licensed child care must also complete 8 hours of pre-service orientation as prescribed by TDFPS. Training hours to be accumulated during school year. Relates well to elementary age boys and girls. Must have current Drivers License. Must have or obtain valid TB test. Must complete Safety Series Training 30 days from hire. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to adjust from sitting to standing with ease. Ability to lift and carry at least 30 lbs.
