The qualified individual will be part of a multidisciplinary team for three days per week in the Lewiston-Auburn program and two days per week in the Casco program. Spurwink provides special education programming for students based on an academic year, as well as a seven-week summer component. Maine state licensure fees and ASHA dues paid and administrative supervision provided. Will be directly responsible to the Site Director regarding all matters concerning your job responsibilities. Will complete all assigned tasks given to you by the Site Director. Will be responsible for following the YMCA Afterschool Curriculum/Lesson Plan. Job Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age (may be 16 or 17 year of age if enrolled in an approved high school career program and under direct supervision of qualified staff). High school graduate. 15 approved and documented training hours to be accumulated during school year. CPR and First Aid Certified. Staff with no experience in licensed child care must also complete 8 hours of pre-service orientation as prescribed by TDFPS. Training hours to be accumulated during school year. Relates well to elementary age boys and girls. Must have current Drivers License. Must have or obtain valid TB test. Must complete Safety Series Training 30 days from hire. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to adjust from sitting to standing with ease. Ability to lift and carry at least 30 lbs.
