Responsible for supervision, safety and activities of children in assigned group while ensuring the safety of all children between the ages of 5-12. Will closely supervise a group of school-age children in all scheduled activities in the program; such supervision will consist of visual and auditory awareness as well as a pattern of circulating among the children. Will follow the pick-up and check out procedure. Will follow the discipline policy set in staff training. Will report supplies needing repair or depletion to the Director. Will be completely responsible for the safety and well-being of each child in your group; must quickly move to attend to injured or ill child (be able to transport if necessary) and initiate first aid procedures. Will keep an accurate daily count of the children in your group each day. Will follow the field trip procedure set at staff training. They will understand generally the different economic systems - command, traditional, and market. Practically, the students will learn what a credit report is, how to research a major purchase, how to write a check, and to keep a balanced check register. They will review various economically-related forms for employment, income taxes, and creating a personal budget. The course ends with a look at different economic philosophies and where the environment fits into the economic life. Highland Hall Waldorf School is a private Waldorf school in Northridge, located about 8 minutes from the CSUN campus.
